What are 18+ products?
Some products on IVO are flagged as restricted to adults (18+). This includes items such as alcohol, tobacco, certain over-the-counter substances and other goods that, by law or merchant policy, may only be sold to people who have reached the legal age of majority.
You will recognize these products by a clear 18+ badge shown both on the product card in the catalog and on the product detail page.
How delivery works
When your order contains at least one 18+ product, the shipment is dispatched with a special instruction to the courier:
- The courier must check the recipient's ID at the door.
- The package is handed only to a person aged 18 or older.
- If no adult is present, or the recipient cannot prove their age, the package is returned to the merchant.
What you should do
- Be home in person — these orders cannot be left with neighbours, building staff, or under-age household members.
- Have your ID ready — a national ID card, passport or driving license is accepted.
- Ship to a parcel locker? 18+ products are not eligible for parcel locker (cutie poștală) delivery — only home delivery will be offered at checkout, so a courier can check the recipient's ID.
If the delivery is refused or returned
If the package is returned because the recipient could not be verified as an adult, you will be notified by email. You can then:
- Re-schedule the delivery (an additional shipping fee may apply).
- Cancel the order and receive a refund according to the standard refund timeline.
