Accepted legal forms
To sell on IVO, the merchant must usually be a registered business or organization with a valid fiscal code, bank account, authorized representative and documents that allow commercial activity.
We commonly accept the following Moldovan legal forms:
- S.R.L. (limited liability company) — the most common option for online shops and growing businesses.
- I.I. (individual enterprise) — often used by small businesses operated by one founder.
- S.A. (joint-stock company) — suitable for larger companies with share capital and shareholders.
- Other registered entities — for example cooperatives, farmer households or associations, if their documents allow the sale of the relevant products.
What we check
- Registration extract or equivalent company document
- Fiscal code and legal address
- Administrator or authorized representative
- Bank account for settlements
- VAT status, if applicable
- Licenses or permits for regulated products
Taxes and costs
Business costs can include state registration fees, accounting, electronic signature, bank fees, VAT registration if required, payroll taxes and income tax. In Moldova, standard VAT is commonly 20% and company income tax is commonly 12%, but exceptions and special regimes may apply.
