What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your IVO account. When enabled, you will need to enter a 6-digit verification code sent to your email each time you sign in, in addition to your password.
How to enable 2FA
- Go to My Profile.
- Scroll down to the Security section.
- Toggle the Two-Factor Authentication switch to ON.
That is it — 2FA is now active on your account. The next time you log in, you will be asked for a verification code.
How to disable 2FA
- Go to My Profile.
- Scroll down to the Security section.
- Toggle the Two-Factor Authentication switch to OFF.
- A verification code will be sent to your email — enter it to confirm the change.
For security, disabling 2FA itself requires a verification code to prevent unauthorized changes.
How the verification code works
- You perform a protected action (sign in, or disable 2FA).
- IVO sends a 6-digit code to the email address on your account.
- A verification window appears — enter the code and click Confirm.
- The action is completed.
Code details
- The code is 6 digits
- It is sent to your email address
- The code expires after 15 minutes
- If the code expires, click Resend Code to receive a new one (available after a 30-second cooldown)
- Requesting a new code invalidates the previous one
What actions are always protected?
Even if you have not enabled 2FA for login, certain sensitive actions always require a verification code:
- Account deletion — requesting to delete your IVO account
- Disabling 2FA — turning off two-factor authentication
- Merchant plugin setup — configuring merchant integration
Tips
- Check your spam folder if you do not see the email. It is sent from noreply@ivo.md.
- You can paste the code from the email — the form auto-submits when all 6 digits are entered.
- If you enter the wrong code, you can try again immediately.
