Smlight SLZB-MR1 Multi-radio Zigbee and Thread Coordinator, TI CC2652P7 & SiLabs EFR32MG21, PoE/USB-C, Ethernet, Zigbee 3.0, Thread, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth
Description
The Smlight SLZB-MR1 is a multi-radio coordinator designed to manage both Zigbee and Thread networks within a single device. It utilizes a dual-radio architecture featuring the Texas Instruments CC2652P7 and Silicon Labs EFR32MG21 chips, allowing it to support Zigbee 3.0, Thread, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth protocols. Both primary radios are equipped with integrated amplifiers providing +20 dBm transmission power to ensure a stable signal across your smart home. The TI chip offers 704kB of Flash and 144kB of RAM, while the Silicon Labs chip provides 1024kB of Flash and 96kB of RAM. Connectivity is flexible, as you can power the device via a USB-C port or through an Ethernet port using PoE (48V), which simplifies installation by combining data and power into one cable. The hardware includes two SMA connectors for the provided high-gain 2.4 GHz external antennas, alongside an internal PCB antenna for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Even with both SoC radios operating simultaneously, the device remains efficient with a maximum power consumption of 1.5W. Running on SLZB-OS, the coordinator includes a built-in dashboard, VPN capabilities, and support for customizable scripts and OTA updates. It is compatible with TI Z-Stack and SL Ember/EZSP stacks, making it a versatile choice for users who need a centralized, network-attached hub to bridge multiple wireless standards without relying on a direct connection to a host computer.
