The Knauf Rotband is a universal gypsum plaster designed for the hand application of interior walls and ceilings. This versatile mixture allows you to level surfaces, fill cracks and chips, and prepare walls for subsequent finishes like painting, wallpapering, or tiling. It is particularly effective for smoothing joints between gypsum boards or creating window slopes, provided they are protected from moisture. Coming in a 25kg bag, the plaster is formulated with a special retarder that slows down the setting process, giving you more time to work with the material before it hardens. Its high plasticity ensures it doesn't stick to your tools and easily fills voids and cavities, while its strong adhesion makes it compatible with various substrates including concrete, brick, and cement plaster. For walls, it can be applied in layers from 5 to 50 mm, while ceilings are typically handled with layers between 5 and 15 mm. This product is a reliable choice for both professional contractors and homeowners tackling a renovation. Because it is vapor-permeable, it helps maintain a natural indoor climate, and its thermal properties provide a slight additional insulation effect to your rooms.
