The ESB 3.165 is a 6.5-inch mid-woofer designed to serve as the foundation for a two or three-way front stage in car door installations. It handles a nominal power of 120 watts and can reach 240 watts during transient peaks, operating at a 4-ohm impedance. With a frequency response ranging from 65 Hz to 9 kHz and a sensitivity of 91.5 dB, it provides a balanced output for mid-bass frequencies. Its construction features a pressed paper cone with a waterproof treatment to ensure durability against moisture. This cone is supported by a single wave Perbunan rubber surround for high damping and an ABS plastic basket reinforced with fiberglass, which is engineered for torsional rigidity while minimizing air resistance. Inside, a 25 mm voice coil with an aluminum support and double-layer copper winding with an aluminum core is driven by a high-grade ferrite magnet, ensuring stable performance and efficient heat dissipation.
