The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2.8 IS STM is a versatile standard zoom lens designed for full-frame cameras with the RF mount. Its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture makes it a reliable choice for shooting in low-light environments and allows you to create a soft, blurred background for portraits. To keep the lens portable, it features a clever retracting mechanism that brings its length down to 92.2 mm and keeps the total weight at 490 g, making it easy to carry throughout a full day of shooting. Inside, the lens uses 15 elements arranged in 12 groups and a stepping motor for autofocus that is both quiet and precise. You can easily switch between autofocus and manual focus or toggle the image stabilizer using the dedicated switches on the barrel. The design includes weather sealing for added protection against the elements and a 67 mm filter thread, as indicated by the included E-67 II lens cap. With focal length markings for 28, 35, 50, and 70 mm, this lens is well-suited for photographers who need a compact, all-in-one solution for everyday creative work.
