The Canon RF 24mm f/1.8 Macro IS STM is a wide-angle prime lens designed for full-frame cameras, offering a versatile focal length that works well for landscapes and vlogging. Its fast f/1.8 maximum aperture allows you to capture bright images in low-light environments and create a soft, blurred background. The lens features a stepping motor for quiet and smooth autofocus, which is particularly helpful for video recording, and built-in image stabilization to keep your handheld shots steady. With a maximum magnification of 0.5x and a minimum focusing distance of just 0.14 meters, this lens lets you get very close to your subjects for unique close-up photography. The optical design consists of 11 elements in 9 groups with a 9-blade diaphragm for natural bokeh. Physically, it is a compact and lightweight option, weighing only 270 g and measuring 63.1 mm in length, making it easy to carry on long trips. It uses a 52 mm filter diameter and comes with an EW-65B lens hood and E-52 II lens cap to protect the glass.
