The Aqara P100 is a versatile multi-state sensor designed to monitor various household events through two distinct operating modes. In open/close monitoring mode, it tracks the rotating angle of hinged doors, safes, refrigerators, and hopper or composite windows, though it is not intended for sliding doors, rolling gates, or drawers. Alternatively, the sensor can be set to object monitoring mode via the Zigbee protocol and Aqara Home app, which allows it to detect vibration, tilt, movement, and fall events in 3D space, including whether an object is facing up or down. To ensure precision, the device features automatic installation angle calibration using AI algorithms to correct drift, and you can fine-tune the object monitoring sensitivity across ten different levels. Reporting intervals are also flexible, ranging from 5 seconds to 5 minutes. The white, one-piece housing is designed for simple peel-and-stick installation for indoor use, keeping it away from direct rain. Connectivity is handled through dual-protocol support for Zigbee and Thread, enabling compatibility with Matter when used with a Thread Border Router and Matter Controller. This allows the sensor to integrate into ecosystems like Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Samsung SmartThings, and Home Assistant. While it works with most Aqara hubs, it is not compatible with the G350, G5 Pro, G2H Pro, or G410 camera hubs.
