At its heart is a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 processor running at 2.2 GHz and 3 GB of system memory, which allows it to handle an IDS/IPS throughput of 5 Gbps. The device features a versatile port layout, including four 2.5 GbE RJ45 LAN ports, one 10 GbE RJ45 port, and two 10G SFP+ slots, providing flexibility for both copper and fiber connections. A small 0.96" LCM status display on the white polycarbonate enclosure gives you a quick glance at your system's health, while the slim 212.8 x 127.6 x 30 mm frame fits unobtrusively on a desk. This gateway serves as a central hub for the UniFi ecosystem, supporting the Network, Protect, Access, Talk, and Connect applications. It can manage over 50 UniFi devices and accommodate more than 500 simultaneous users, making it suitable for demanding home offices or small businesses. For security, it integrates a stateful Layer 7 firewall with deep packet inspection, ad blocking, and a wide array of VPN options including WireGuard and Teleport. If you use UniFi Protect, you can install an NVMe SSD up to 2 TB for NVR storage, allowing the system to record from up to 15 HD or 5 4K cameras. The unit is powered by an included DC adapter and provides a 30W PoE budget to support connected hardware.
