The Sony HT-A8000, also known as the BRAVIA Theater Bar 8, is a black soundbar designed to create an immersive home cinema experience. It utilizes a 5.0.2 channel system with 11 speaker units, including dedicated front, side, and up-firing drivers that work together to project sound throughout your room. A dedicated center channel ensures that dialogue remains clear and distinct, while the total power output of 495 W provides enough volume for various room sizes. To achieve a cinematic feel, this system supports advanced formats like Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and IMAX Enhanced, alongside Sony's 360 Spatial Sound Mapping and 360 Reality Audio. These technologies help simulate a wider soundstage, which you can further expand by adding compatible SA-RS3R or SA-RS5 rear speakers and SA-SW3 or SA-SW5 wireless subwoofers. For connectivity, it features HDMI ports with eARC/ARC for easy TV integration, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 supporting high-quality codecs like LDAC. Weighing 4.7 kg, the bar is built to sit neatly under your television. It includes practical settings such as Voice Mode for better speech clarity and Night Mode to keep volume levels balanced when you need to be quiet. This setup suits movie enthusiasts who want a high-fidelity audio solution that can grow from a single powerful bar into a full surround system.
