Description
The Sonoff Dongle-MZG23 is a Z-Wave 800 PoE Dongle Max designed to act as a versatile gateway for your smart home network. It utilizes a dual-chip architecture, combining an EFR32ZG23 32-bit ARM Cortex-M33 processor for Z-Wave operations with an ESP32-D0WDR2 chip to handle Wi-Fi connectivity. This setup allows you to manage your devices through a local web console via LAN, ensuring your automation remains private and accessible within your own network. Connectivity is highly flexible, as the device supports power and data through either an RJ45 Ethernet port using PoE (48V, 0.25A) or a USB Type-C port (5V, 1A). To ensure a stable signal across your home, it features two 360-degree adjustable external antennas. The hardware is housed in a durable aluminum alloy casing combined with PC and ABS materials, providing a sturdy build that dissipates heat effectively. This dongle is built for users who rely on platforms like Home Assistant, openHAB, or Z-Wave JS, and it includes WireGuard support for secure remote network access. By supporting the Z-Wave 800 Series, S2 security, and Z-Wave Long Range, it allows you to connect a wide array of sensors and switches over greater distances. The package comes ready for setup with the included USB Type-C to USB cable.
