The Gembird AUSI01 is a versatile USB to IDE/SATA adapter cable designed to help you retrieve data or manage files from various internal drives without needing to install them inside a computer. It works with both 2.5" and 3.5" IDE and SATA hard drives, as well as CD and DVD drives, making it a useful tool for accessing old backups or repurposing legacy storage. By connecting through a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port, the adapter achieves transfer speeds of up to 30 MB/sec and utilizes the standard USB mass storage device driver for straightforward setup. To ensure stability and power for larger 3.5" drives, the kit includes an AC-DC power adapter that provides 12V and 5V outputs with a total capacity of 25W.
